Black 65 |
|
|
|

It's here - the long awaited "Black '65 Overdrive" (formerly called 'Blackface Overdrive'). I've had tons and tons of folks ask me when I was coming out with an overdrive pedal that emulates the sound of a cranked fender amp. I wanted to get it JUST right, and spent a good 9 months breadboarding and prototyping tons of different ideas and a/b-ing with various fender amps to make sure it was accurate.
At this time, we will only build 100 or so of these.

Plexi Drive
A couple of years ago I wanted a JTM45....BAD! At the time my bandmate had a nice JTM45 that was 'handed' down to him, and I have to admit... I was jealous! Me, being the electronics tinkerer that I am set off to design a pedal that would get me those tones out of any run of the mill (ahem...cheap) amp and satisfy my lustings for the Marshall Wonder of Beauty. After many long nights of breadboarding, tweaking, and tweaking some more, I finally came up with it: The Pedal That absolutely nails that "JTM45" tone like none other.
I designed it to sound sort of like a cross between a "Marshall 18" and a JTM45, and those who have purchased the Plexidrive agree that it's very accurate! The bass boost toggle switch adds fat, full bottom end which is very useful in lower gain or lower volume (bedroom practicing) applications. For band volumes, cutting the bass out a bit really helps the tone cut through perfectly.
We had a special limited version with green/teal paint... if you have a chance to get one of these, jump on it - there were only several hundred of the this color made!

Faux tape echo |

Faux tape echo
As close as we could come to a tape echo machine... the faux tape echo is basically the analogecho (which is a favorite of many guitarists such as Brad Paisley) crossed with a unique circuit the speeds up and slows down the echos, just like a real tape echo. It isn't modulating like other 'tape echo' emulations though... many of them sound like a chorus pedal in the background... while that is a cool sound in itself, a tape echo's 'flutter' created modulation tones by the recording tape slightly speeding up and slowing down - that's why we duplicated the modulation circuit to do the same thing.
If you are tired of wimpy sterile delay tones or just simply wish that your analog delay could get brighter, the faux echo is your pedal! While the echoes are created digitally, the base signal is all analog and is extremely transparent. The echoes are not sterile and brittle like a digital delay though - they are big, full and FAT.
Max delay time: about 600ms
Specs
*High grade film capacitors and resistors picked for their superior sound and response
*Completely true bypass
*Battery connection and 9v power jack (barrel plug like Boss)
*controls: level, repeats, delay time, modulation depth, tone control on repeats (darker or brighter echoes)
*Ultra-bright LED for ease of use
*Battery connection

Faux spring reverb |
|
|
|

Fat, watery spring reverb in a pedal... without the springs! From subtle to surf, you can even hear the "boing!" with extreme settings.
Many reverbs go through an analog to digital conversion and then convert back from digital to analog after making the reverb echoes. This process will wreak havoc on your tone, making it seem lifeless, sterile, and...well, just BAD. It has an analog base tone, so no worries about this pedal wrecking your tone! The tone control on it allows you to darken or brighten your echoes.

Pinnackle limited |
|
|
|

The original Pinnacle(2) evolved into the pinnacle over the span of a couple of years. During that time, we've had a ton of customers ask us about coming back out with the original version which had a stomp-switchable gain boost. While the current pinnacle and the original pinnacle 2 were 95% the same circuit-wise, some felt that there was a certain 'magic' to it. Since we've had so many requests for it, we decided to come out with a limited version of it complete with the gain boost stomp switch. We are only building a small number of these so unfortunately when it's gone - it's gone.

Tripl wreck |

A high gain distortion pedal... designed to get that massively thick distortion through a clean amp!
Guaranteed to bring on 'teh broootaaalllzz'! Probably one of the tightest, thickest highest gain distortions you've ever heard... many people have told me that it sounds more like a 5150 amp to them, that may very well be - I designed it to just by an ass kicking distortion pedal, heavier than everything else, meaner than everything else, and it is...
Another cool feature is the boost switch. Click it on and the cream crunch knob takes you from even higher gain (waaaaaaaay high gain) to fuzzy smashing pumpkins-esque big muff pi type of tones (but with a 3 band eq). Of course, you can get the Gilmour BMP tones as well, but the only thing missing from this pedal are the devil horns ;)
